What about snakes, ticks and swamps?
Honestly: wild nature is part of the trip, and we respect it. We scout every route in advance and know where adders and boggy ground can be found — we go around dangerous spots or cross them as a tight group with a guide. Before the start there is a briefing: how to dress so ticks do not get you and what to do if you meet a snake. The instructor carries a first-aid kit and a satellite communicator, the route is registered, and we keep a pace that suits the group. Not “risk-free” — but with conscious, well-practised rules.
